Artist Statement  (EN)

In my work, I explore ecological and social themes, focusing on the relationships between Man, Animals, Nature and the Civilisation. In my recent projects, I have created special installations of canvas paintings in various sizes and shapes, illuminated from within.

For painting, I employ a combination of classical and experimental techniques, such as scorching the surface with fire.

The works encourage a more sensitive perception of our relationship with the world of animals and nature, prompting us to question artificially created boundaries and constructed concepts like “city,” “land,” and “nature.” We come to understand that the hierarchical separation of habitats is still perceived as a constant, but this viewpoint is subject to posthumanist critique.
 

Artist Statement  (DE)

In meiner Arbeit beschäftige ich mich mit ökologischen und sozialen Themen und konzentriere mich dabei auf die Beziehungen zwischen Mensch, Tier, Natur und Zivilisation. In meinen jüngsten Projekten habe ich spezielle Installationen aus Leinwandgemälden in verschiedenen Größen und Formen geschaffen, die von innen heraus leuchten.
Für die Malerei kombiniere ich klassische und experimentelle Techniken, wie zum Beispiel das Verbrennen der Oberfläche mit Feuer.

Die Werke fördern eine sensiblere Wahrnehmung unserer Beziehung zur Tierwelt und Natur und regen uns an, künstlich geschaffene Grenzen und konstruierte Konzepte wie „Stadt“, „Land“ und „Natur“ zu hinterfragen. Wir verstehen, dass die hierarchische Trennung von Lebensräumen immer noch als Konstante wahrgenommen wird, doch diese Sichtweise ist Gegenstand posthumanistischer Kritik.
